Call for PhD and Master's Student Consortium (PMC) Participants

ICIEV 2026 PhD and Master's Student Consortium (PMC) gives emerging researchers an opportunity to present and discuss their research with experienced academics and fellow researchers. The consortium is designed to foster constructive feedback, academic exchange, mentorship and networking in a supportive research environment.

The PMSC is primarily intended for PhD students who have made substantial progress in their research and have preliminary results or findings. Interested Master's students are also welcome to apply, particularly those with strong research potential and well-developed research projects. A limited number of exceptional Master's applications will be selected.

Eligibility and Participation:

  • Applicants should show a clear research direction, meaningful progress, and potential for contribution to their field.
  • Selected participants are expected to actively engage in presentations, discussions and mentoring activities throughout the consortium.
  • We particularly encourage applications representing diverse research topics, methodologies, institutions and academic backgrounds.

Application:

Applicants should prepare the following three items:
  1. Research Statement (max. 2 pages) – research topic, objectives, methodology, progress to date, and future plans.
  2. CV (max. 2 pages) – relevant academic achievements, publications, presentations and research activities.
  3. Supervisor's Supporting Letter – endorsing the application and briefly describing the applicant's research progress and potential.

Combine all three items into ONE single PDF file (in the above order) and submit it to Microsoft CMT under the Subject Area 'PhD and Master's Student Consortium'.

  • Use only *.PDF format.
  • Follow the same CMT steps as for regular papers (see Submission page).

Review and Selection:

Applications will be evaluated on:

  • Quality and potential of the research
  • Progress to date
  • Anticipated benefits of participation
  • Overall strength of the application

While the consortium is primarily aimed at doctoral researchers, exceptional applications from Master's students will also be considered.

Important Dates:

  • Submission deadline: 15 November 2026
  • Conference: 21–24 December 2026, Kitakyushu, Japan
